The project included the detailed design of the new passenger terminal complex for domestic and international traffic and all associated infrastructure (in cooperation with ADPI Company). The floor area of the passenger terminal building is 600,000m² designed with 48 contact gates to handle 30 mppa during the 1st phase. The ultimate phase will take the capacity to 80 mppa. In addition to the above, a master plan of an “airport city” was developed in the southern part of the airport. The airport city will benefit from a shopping mall, housing, conference centers, hotels, recreational areas and other business units.
