Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Regional Airport

Qassim

This project is the design and development of the Qassim Regional Airport located in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia. GACA has awarded ZFP the contract for the detailed design of the airport in October 2011. The aim of the project is to develop the existing airport by reviewing the master plan, creating three conceptual design alternatives of the main terminal, and develop one preferred concept design.

The scope of the design includes the full design of the complete airport infrastructure for the landside, airfield, passenger terminal building, and all their associated facilities in compliance with aviation international standards such as ICAO regulations, IATA standards and codes, FAA regulations, and ACI standards. The total site area is around 3,000,000 m² with the built-up area of the terminal measuring 56,000 m² and can hold up to 1,800 passengers during peak hours.
