Al-Ahsa

King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa already had a masterplan. ZFP designed some of the buildings such as the research center 12,000 m², English center 12,000 m², the deanship building 10,000 m², and college of computer science 19,500 m². It was then a global trend for all medical centers to be turned into medical park and following this trend, the methodology and approach was conceptualized. In addition, considering that Al-Ahsa is considered the biggest oasis in the world, the design team tended to articulate the site as a natural and medical oasis. The site was designed as one big oasis divided into three small oases.
