Prince Sultan University consists of 10 Colleges (5 for male students and 5 for female students). The expected capacity is 9,000 students. The P.S.U. design concept attempts to generate a holistic project for both male and female campuses as well as the community plaza which is connected by a vivid and dynamic indoor spine. The connecting spine (designed as two gigantic curved walls) forms like a Yin and Yang geometric order, the symbol for integration of life, and the spines are linked entirely by a central hub where academic participants can communicate with the community. The spine is provided with sitting areas and common shared facilities for informal interaction that can encourage a social academic environment. The project site area is 350,000 m² and the built up area is 246,500 m².
